Warehouse/Driver (Non-CDL)

About the role

Warehouse/Driver associates at Famous Supply are responsible for both warehouse duties and driving deliveries to customer shops and/or job sites using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. Drivers assist with loading their truck each morning, review orders for accuracy, and use a company-provided smartphone for navigation. Associates also assist in the warehouse as needed and handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product is handled with care to prevent damage
• Maintain attention to detail for accurate warehouse tasks
• Keep warehouse clean, neat, and organized
• Unload trucks and receive material
• Put-away material and pick customer orders
• Stage customer orders for delivery and load delivery trucks
• Load truck for deliveries using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate
• Use company-provided smartphone to navigate routes and arrive on time
• Unload materials for customers and verify delivery accuracy
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour day
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to drive large vehicles
• Acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience
• Customer service experience
• Building industry experience and product knowledge
• Experience working in a warehouse
• Experience using RF scanners
