Warehouse Driver
About the role
Zimmer Biomet is a global medical technology leader dedicated to enhancing patient mobility through its products and technologies. The Mobile Logistics Medical Device Driver plays a crucial role in delivering and picking up medical devices to and from hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Pack, unload, and deliver medical instrumentation and implants to Company accounts (hospitals) for upcoming surgeries.
- Drop off ordered instrumentation to hospitals' sterile area and instruments to hospitals' holding area.
- Retrieve items from accounts post-use, ensuring instrument completeness and communicating with hospital staff to locate missing items.
- Move instrument trays and implants across facilities daily, double-checking counts and product labeling.
- Communicate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to the Warehouse Dispatcher for each stop on the assigned route.
- Operate a full-size, company-owned van safely and maintain its cleanliness and maintenance.
- Communicate any issues that arise to dispatch and management.
- Avoid incorrect or incomplete drops that could disrupt upcoming surgery schedules.
- Assist Inventory and warehouse personnel as needed, including scanning products into the computer system and pulling items from warehouse shelves with 100% accuracy.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Works well in a team environment and maintains a positive attitude.
- Can move at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks accurately.
- Successful employment history with reliability and organizational skills.
- Passes background check and drug screen.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education is preferred.
- Previous logistics or professional driving experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Daily travel required; willing to work overtime and some holidays.

- Maintain high levels of trust and communication with warehouse and supervisory team.
- Employee phone provided for regular communication with sales teams and coworkers.
- Able to utilize a Smartphone for route tracking and verifying checkpoints, instrumentation, and daily tasks.

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
