Warehouse Driver
Job Functions (Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements)
- Follow safety rules and work procedures.
- Prepares receipts for load picked up.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Position blocks and/or tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
- May load and unload truck; inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water; and/or perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
- Cleans work area or vehicle.
- Performs other duties as needed.
About the Role
The employee in this position will be responsible for making local deliveries in our warehouse vehicle, on a daily basis, between one or more locations. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds is required. Work environment includes company vehicle and warehouse, plant or production areas with periods of continual driving/sitting and occasional standing or walking. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing is required. Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Must have a clean driving record and have a medical card. Pre-employment drug screening will be required post offer. Class A CDL preferred. Experience in the water/sewer utilities field is a plus.
Requirements
