Warehouse Dockworker – 1st Shift - 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

About the role

CXI Trucking, an LTL (Less-than-Truckload) trucking and warehousing company located at 2057 George Street, Melrose Park, IL 60160, is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Dockworker. The role focuses on receiving, counting, and reloading industrial freight using sit-down propane forklifts and high‑reach lifts in a cross‑dock and warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive freight shipments into the cross‑dock and warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including descriptions, quantities, and locations.
• Load and unload trucks/trailers with customer shipments, materials, and equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and accountability.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience in LTL trucking/warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current certification to operate sit‑down propane forklift and high‑reach lift (required).
• Valid driver’s license.

Pay

Starting pay: $21.50 per hour, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
