About the role
Gates is a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. Our products are found in various applications such as motorcycles, conveyor belts, cars, tractors, blenders, vacuum cleaners, bicycles, and 3D printers.
Responsibilities
- Use resources like finished goods, PIV equipment, tools, scanners, computers, etc. to perform order-picking, shipping, and receiving duties in compliance with Gates' standards.
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Comprehend policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and deliver high-quality products on time.
- Work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years of distribution/warehousing experience.
- A valid driver's license required; a CDL is preferred.
- Ability to observe conditions to ensure safety and the safety of fellow employees.
- Willingness and ability to cross-train and learn multiple jobs.
- High level of responsibility and accountability for both oneself and one's team.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to carry out written/verbal instructions, write legibly, and keep accurate records.
- Basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand on concrete continuously, bend, stoop, twist, step up and down, push, pull, and reach frequently.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed (e.g., protective clothing, safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection).
- Ability to work around flashing lights and automated, industrial equipment.
Qualifications

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Shifts available: 2nd Shift (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM; Monday - Friday with OT as scheduled)
