About the Role
In Springdale, we specialize in the shipment of our Micro-V, Synchronous, and Bandless V-Belts, created in all sizes and dimensions. The process starts with raw materials—molded, heated, and cut to size to meet specific orders. Finished belts are marked with the Gates logo and shipped to customers worldwide.
A Warehouse Worker will use provided resources such as finished goods, PIV equipment, tools, scanners, and computers to perform order-picking, shipping, and receiving duties in compliance with Gates' standards.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday (overtime as scheduled)
- Shifts may vary from 8 to 12 hours based on business demands
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance
Responsibilities
- Perform order-picking, shipping, and receiving duties in compliance with Gates' standards
- Observe and read instructions, labels, and tickets to determine order status
- Cross-train and learn multiple warehouse jobs
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow employees
- Maintain a safe working environment and high-quality product delivery
- Support a team-oriented approach to manufacturing
- Follow written and verbal instructions, maintain accurate records, and demonstrate basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills
- Work in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality and safety standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2–5 years of distribution/warehousing experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
- Good communication skills, including the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand on concrete continuously during operation
- Bend, stoop, twist, step up and down, push, pull, and reach frequently
- Wear personal protective equipment (e.g., protective clothing, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection)
- Work around flashing lights and automated, industrial equipment
Work Environment
- Noise level: moderate to loud
- Temperatures may vary and can be extreme depending on weather conditions
- OSHA-compliant environment requiring steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and a hard hat
