WAREHOUSE/DELIVERY (FULL TIME)

About the role

Full-time warehouse/delivery position located at Canteen, 3300 Waterfield Drive, Garner, NC 27529. Online applications accepted only. Willing to train candidates who may lack certain experience.

Schedule

Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, day shift. Further details provided upon interview.

Requirements

• Previous experience with 26 ft box truck driving and bulk deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift and power jacks.
• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle used (state/federal requirements).

Responsibilities

• Withdraw merchandise and supplies from the warehouse.
• Verify load against products ordered; prepare delivery tickets or shipping papers when applicable.
• Load products, supplies, mail and cash onto vehicle; drive to designated locations; unload truck and distribute delivered items as instructed.
• Pick up product, supplies and cash funds to be returned to branch or designated location; obtain and approve receipts or delivery slips.
• Return to warehouse and unload vehicle, distributing items as directed.
• Collect empty containers and unsold merchandise for return to warehouse and/or disposal.
• Monitor product usage; make adjustments to control inventory turns.
• Ensure proper handling of perishable products; maintain refrigeration of food and beverages.
• Maintain security of cash and property by locking unattended vehicle, securing funds in a locked safe, and securing keys and vehicle at end of shift.
• Unload and clean trash from vehicle; perform daily vehicle operative checks; maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations; report vehicle problems; secure keys and vehicle.
• Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
