About the Role
Our rapidly growing branch in Theodore, AL is seeking a committed Warehouse Delivery Driver with a CDL and hazmat endorsement to deliver blast, coatings, and safety products to industrial clients across the Gulf Coast. This role is a key part of a high-performing sales and operations team focused on ensuring customers receive what they need, on time and in full.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver industrial and MRO supplies and equipment to customer job sites.
- Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.
- Ensure all loads are properly and safely secured before transport.
- Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc., to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind.
- Deliver orders via the most effective route to meet established time frames and customer needs.
- Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to receive any updated instructions.
- Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies.
- When not delivering, work with the warehouse team to pull orders/transfers and prepare them for shipping on pallets or in boxes.
- Receive and check-in inventory as it arrives on-site, ensuring the purchase order matches vendor packing slips.
- Wear the proper PPE at all times.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor and other branch leadership.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Maintain any other required certifications, registrations (e.g., TWIC Card), and chauffeur’s license.
Requirements
- Valid CDL license, including hazmat endorsement and TWIC card, with a clean driving record and ability to meet all DOT requirements.
- Proven reliability and strong work ethic with a willingness to assist the team in meeting customer requirements.
- Excellent internal and external verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a strong commitment to supporting branch goals.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and internal communications.
- Computer savvy with the ability to use iPad tablets for delivery verification, proof of delivery, and desktop computers for email communication, order entry, and delivery status verification.

- Use hands to handle and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally sit and climb or balance.
- Demonstrate specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Operate a forklift properly (forklift certification preferred but not required).
- Routinely lift 55 lbs of material or equipment.
