Warehouse & Counter Sales Associate

As a Full-Time Warehouse & Counter Sales Associate at QC Supply in Washington, IA, you'll be right in the heart of the action, ensuring that everything is in its rightful place and ready for shipment, as well as providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Utilize inventory management systems for verification and data entry
• Staging and organizing materials within the warehouse
• Aid in transfer into and stocking of the QC Supply on-site retail space
• Maintain the inventory levels to assure adequate quantities on hand of all stock
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to an environment of teamwork and collaboration
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation of warehouse and retail workspaces
• Work with QC Supply retail customers as needed, both in-store and over the phone
• Educate new customers on new products and special promotions
• Operate office equipment, handle payment transactions, and efficiently utilize computer operating systems
• Demonstrate a willingness to perform any daily task as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to read and understand basic English
• Ability to function in a fast-paced customer-driven environment
• Strong computer, organizational, and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Forklift certification and experience with stand-up and sit-down lifts
• Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Responds promptly to customer needs
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to an environment of teamwork and collaboration

Skills Required

• Knowledge in the agriculture industry, as well as parts and equipment used
• Experience working within a warehouse and distribution environment
• Understanding of inventory control concepts
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Additional Notes

• This position will require up to 100% standing and walking, with the majority of the associates' time spent in a distribution warehouse, but also in an office or retail environment.
