Warehouse Clerk 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Coordinator in Kansas City, Missouri. The role involves working in clean, organized, and well-run warehouse facilities to support distribution across the U.S., handling products such as pasta using computers and other warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules
• Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses
• Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure the workload is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor
• Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve problems with the day's orders
• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1‑2 years of warehouse experience
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Working knowledge of WMS systems
• Forklift experience
• Equipment certification may be required, depending on location
• Some positions may require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check and road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the assigned customer

Pay

• Hourly pay: $24.00 per hour
• Overtime pay: $36.00 per hour
• Weekly pay schedule
