Warehouse Cherry Picker Operator - 3rd Shift

Ryder is hiring Material Handlers in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. The position is a Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver on third shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a diverse environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and show initiative.
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
• Some positions may require additional screening (employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, badging or background checks).

Pay

Hourly pay: $21.00 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour for third‑shift work.

Schedule

Third shift: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, and Wednesdays from 12:00 am to 6:00 am.
