About the role
Join the Staples World Class Supply Chain Team as a Warehouse Associate. You may be assigned to any of the following areas and may rotate as business needs require:
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Bulk / Material Handling Equipment Operator: Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick and move product up to 100 lbs within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Porter: Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility. Operate material handling equipment to move product while adhering to safety procedures. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Replenishment: Operate material handling equipment to pick and move product up to 100 lbs within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Receiving / Putaway / Returns: Confirm product accuracy, address discrepancies and damages, and communicate professionally with internal and external contacts. Manually unload trucks, palletize products, and operate material handling equipment to move product while adhering to safety procedures. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Returns: Operate material handling equipment to move product. Match item quantities and descriptions to packing slips, check in returned product, and tag it appropriately. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Shipping: Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets. Manually load trucks, lift and carry product in a fast-paced environment, and stack empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.

Requirements
- Ability to become Material Handling Equipment Operator certified and safely operate necessary equipment.
- Willingness to keep the work area clean.

- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) months of related experience in a warehouse environment, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible by law.
- Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
- If hired as a Full-Time associate, ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as required by business needs.
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 and 100 pounds by hand.
- Must wear safety composite shoes.
- Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, or cherry picker.
