Warehouse & Box Truck Driver (non CDL)
About the role
The Warehouse & Box Truck Driver (non CDL) is responsible for safely transporting materials, components, finished goods, and supplies between the Uxbridge facility and the external warehouse in Lincoln, RI while safely operating a Box Truck. This role supports daily warehouse and production operations by loading and unloading materials, maintaining accurate inventory movement, following safety procedures, and ensuring the company vehicle is operated and maintained in a safe and reliable condition following DOT regulations.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport finished goods, raw materials, components, and supplies in support of warehouse and production operations.
- Safely drive the company box truck between the external warehouse and production facility, following all DOT regulations, state & local traffic laws, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Deliver components, materials, and finished product between the Logistics Center, external warehouse, and production floor to support daily business needs.
- Receive, move, store, and replenish materials from the dock through receiving, inventory storage, kitting, and assembly areas.
- Pick, kit, and prepare materials for movement to production in accordance with work orders, inventory requirements, and established procedures.
- Stock, organize, and maintain warehouse inventory to ensure materials are stored accurately, safely, and in designated locations.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory verification activities to support accurate inventory records.
- Inspect materials for visible damage during receiving, storage, and movement; report discrepancies, damage, or quality concerns as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following standard operating procedures, housekeeping standards, and safety protocols.
- Support business needs by remaining flexible and assisting with projects or other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, including material handling and inventory movement.
- 2+ years of experience operating a box truck; valid DOT medical card required.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license and current DOT medical card required.
- A clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Basic computer skills required; previous SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to use material handling equipment; Forklift certification preferred.
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately move, track, and verify materials.
- Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing and reaching.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
