Responsibilities
- Administers the warehouse function in absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ensures supplies are issued upon approved requisitions.
- Inspects incoming material for correctness and defects and arranges for return of defective material.
- Arranges for periodic and special inventories and reconciles book inventories with physical counts.
- Plans and coordinates the issuance of materials stored with the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Aids the Warehouse Supervisor in taking inventory of all materials.
- Prepares, reviews, and maintains reports and records as required for accuracy.
- Operates company vehicles as assigned.
- Updates the computer system as necessary.
- Ensures store room and warehouse facilities are kept clean and orderly at all times.
- Acts as a role model to other employees and encourages others to do the same.
- Maintains attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Excellent math, reading, communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Good mathematical and clerical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to give, as well as respond to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to operate computer as needed.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including in and around pit areas.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items when necessary.
- Ability to reach below and above shoulders while performing duties.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, weigh scale, and pull carts and dollies filled with items weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to perform functions accurately in a noisy, busy environment.
- Ability to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Ability to 10 key and be proficient in typing skills.
- Ability to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- 6-month previous warehouse experience and/or forklift and electric pallet jack certification is desired.
