WAREHOUSE ATTENDANT

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Attendant performs the warehouse’s daily inventory duties, including receiving, stocking, and administering/ issuing stock materials.

Responsibilities

• Physical material reception and stocking
• Issuing materials as requested
• Maintain adequate and accurate inventory stock levels to support Operations
• Work with operations to ensure adequate and timely supply of parts
• Work closely with Warehouse Supervisor and AMG Planners for purchasing needs
• Maintain accurate consignment stock inventory count
• Process daily paperwork as required
• Reconcile monthly Procard statements (when applicable)
• Communicate and maintain relationships with Vendors
• Operate forklift to stock and move materials
• Material allocation within the warehouse racks
• Perform Cycle Counts per required plan
• Other Procurement functions to support the Warehouse Supervisor and Operations including purchase order creation, as requested
• “Housekeeping” – Ensure warehouse aisleways are clear, floors regularly swept and maintain an overall orderly and clean warehouse environment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of warehouse operation (preferred)
• Forklift certification and license (preferred; if not trained) – Training will be provided, if needed
• Knowledge of SAP system (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Operations or Supply Chain (preferred)

• Strong Communication Skills (both in-writing and verbally)
• Physical and manual activities

Working Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, noise, dust, and working outdoors. Must wear protective equipment while at the location.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Kneeling, standing, pulling, crouching, walking, reaching, lifting, hearing, pushing talking.
• Exposure to dust and extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions.
• Potential exposure to mechanical and chemical hazards.
