Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Perform activities in a safe manner.
• Must always be on the lookout for safety issues for all associates.
• Unload/load trailers;
• read/understand packing slips, freight bills/damages, and customer returns.
• Process shipments of products;
• confirm pick lists and labels and coordinate shipments.
• Ensure all product is properly packaged and labeled prior to loading and shipping.
• Responsible for final audits and other duties as assigned.
• Able to be cross-trained in various areas of the warehouse as needed.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employers, customers, and suppliers and be a team player.
• Uphold a strong desire to learn new and changing technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education and/or GED preferred and/or combination of experience, training, and education.
• Thorough knowledge of warehouse system and manual.
• Ability to use basic math functions, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
• Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments.
• Understand the interface between materials management functions and other departments.
• Ability to organize and maintain order.
• Understand and use the FIFO inventory system.
• Ability to use scanner guns and other similar type of equipment.
• Must possess a Flambeau Inc. issued Forklift license.
• Physical Demand:
• Continuously lifting or moving material of lightweight (up to 10 pounds).
• Frequently lifting or moving average weight material (between 25# to 60#).
• Occasionally lifting or moving heavy-weight material (over 60#).
• Ability to climb railcars, ladders, and steep stairs to perform service (height).
• This activity may be moderate to extreme depending on the job function.
