Warehouse

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position requires in-office presence and cannot be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight and check in merchandise/materials.
• Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in shipping area.
• Sort and place materials or items on warehouse racks, shelves, or in bins according to warehouse organization standards.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Maintain inventory controls/records by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received and distributed through inventory computer system.
• Conduct physical inventory of surplus materials and equipment.
• Prepare orders for shipment to branches and/or customers.
• May assist in ordering shipping supplies such as cartons, tape, bonding, and packing materials.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment a plus.
• Previous forklift experience a plus.
• Previous experience/training in safety, shipping, receiving, warehouse stocking, or product and services a plus.
• Ability to communicate and prioritize workload.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively to communicate with personnel, customers, and suppliers in person, on the phone, and by written communication.
• Must be able to follow written instructions.
• Proficient level of computer and data entry skills required.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
• Required regularly to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms above and below shoulder level.
• Required regularly to lift and/or move (push/pull/carry) objects weighing up to and often exceeding 40 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move objects exceeding 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate full range of motion for bending, pushing/pulling, reaching above/below shoulder level, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing frequently.
• Must have ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 30 minutes.
• Vision requirements: close vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment

This is a warehouse position.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Normal days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime may be required on occasion as needed.
