Warehouse Associate - Waterworks

About the Role

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate for our Waterworks location in Upper Marlboro, MD. This role involves working both in a warehouse and outdoors in the pipe yard, handling various products and operating forklifts. Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions, performing duties in the pipe yard.
• Accurately receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming materials.
• Effectively manage and store inventory.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Qualifications

• Preferred background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Strongly preferred forklift operator experience.
• Ability to carry objects up to 50 lbs. by hand and 50 lbs. or more using equipment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some overtime as needed.

Pay

Pay Range: $20.02 - $30.03 per hour. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
