Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver
About the role
The Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver I plays a crucial part in the efficient operation of Rexel USA's Gexpro team in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves handling customer orders, managing warehouse operations, and driving a delivery vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a safe and secure work environment
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety rules
- Receive and verify incoming materials and orders
- Stock and prepare orders for shipping
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles
- Handle customer deliveries and returns
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation
- Perform inventory counts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Requirements
- No prior experience required
- Prior warehouse experience a plus
- Valid driver's license
- At least 21 years old
- Pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record check
- Medical certificate within 30 days of hire
- No suspended driver's license in the past 3 years
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical products a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Organizational and time management skills
- Physical demands: sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, talking, hearing, smelling, using hands, lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing, and working in various environments
