About the role

The Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver I plays a crucial part in the efficient operation of Rexel USA's Gexpro team in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves handling customer orders, managing warehouse operations, and driving a delivery vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a safe and secure work environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety rules
  • Receive and verify incoming materials and orders
  • Stock and prepare orders for shipping
  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
  • Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles
  • Handle customer deliveries and returns
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation
  • Perform inventory counts and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • Prior warehouse experience a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • At least 21 years old
  • Pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record check
  • Medical certificate within 30 days of hire
  • No suspended driver's license in the past 3 years
  • No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of electrical products a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Physical demands: sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, talking, hearing, smelling, using hands, lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing, and working in various environments
