About the role

The Warehouse Associate I at National Trade Supply is a versatile, cross-trained fulfillment team member responsible for the accurate and efficient movement of product through our fulfillment center. This role spans all warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Inbound: Unload shipments safely and efficiently, verify product counts and inspect for damage; confirm received goods match purchase orders; report discrepancies or shortages promptly.
  • Picking: Accurately pick products from inventory locations based on order sheets, pick lists, or system-directed picking; verify item codes, quantities, and specifications; report damaged items and inventory shortages to the supervisor.
  • Packing: Pack outbound orders securely, inspect items for defects, damage, or discrepancies; apply correct shipping labels, packing slips, and documentation; ensure finished cartons are sealed securely and staged neatly.
  • Ready-to-Ship (RTS): Efficiently and accurately prepare RTS orders, ensuring all items are verified, properly packaged, and labeled before being staged for carrier pickup; audit completed RTS orders for label accuracy, carton condition, and shipment completeness.
  • Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA): Prepare FBA shipments in full compliance with Amazon's packaging, labeling, and shipment creation requirements; stay current on FBA packaging and prep requirements; communicate any requirement updates or compliance concerns to the supervisor.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to all established company safety policies and procedures; operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) within the scope of current certification; maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; report any safety hazards, near-misses, equipment issues, or injuries to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment is a plus but not required — we will train the right person.
  • Genuine desire to learn multiple warehouse functions and contribute wherever the team needs you most.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Comfortable using warehouse management systems (WMS), handheld scanners, and related technology; willingness to learn required systems.
  • Able to follow verbal and written work instructions; average oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail — particularly for order accuracy, label verification, FBA compliance, and packaging standards.
  • Ability or willingness to obtain PIT (powered industrial truck) certification upon hire.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and twist for a full shift; must be able to constantly reach with both hands and arms.
  • Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential to success in this role.
