Warehouse Associate - Springfield, IL

About the Role

Join Echo Electric, a leader in electrical distribution and a brand of Sonepar, as a Warehouse Laborer. This is an active, physical role in a warehouse environment where you will ensure products get where they need to be by performing tasks such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, and assisting with general warehouse maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Pick, check, pack, and ship orders ranging from small boxes to pallets.
• Load, unload, and move materials and supplies using safety equipment, hand trucks, and front-end loaders/forklifts.
• Receive, check in, and store inventory safely while ensuring the quality and quantity of products.
• Cut wire, rod, or strut safely using appropriate equipment.
• Assist customers with loading material and resolve problems as needed.
• Maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition by sweeping floors, removing trash, and performing general upkeep.
• Record damaged or defective materials.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and safety expectations.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and wire cutting machines, as well as push carts and rolling ladders.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
• Basic problem-solving and computer skills.
