Warehouse Associate Shipping Part-Time Days (Tuesday & Wednesday 7:00am-5:00pm)

About the role

As a Warehouse Shipping Associate, you will help the distribution center meet its goals by wrapping and loading pallets into outbound trailers for delivery to retail stores. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Wrap and load pallets of cases and totes for shipment to stores
• Stack empty pallets
• Operate automated shrink-wrapping machine to wrap pallets
• Load finished pallets manually, lifting, lowering, and carrying product
• Use material handling equipment (MHE), such as pallet jack
• Verify accuracy of completed pallets and resolve any discrepancies
• Avoid injury and damage to product by ensuring safe work practices
• Work in a hot environment of approximately 95 degrees F during the summer and adapt to seasonal temperature variations
• Assist in other departments and perform a variety of other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to be MHEO certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment
• Three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 100 pounds by hand, and work at average heights of up to 8-9 feet but up to 30 feet at times
• Regular attendance and ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift
• Basic English language, reading and writing skills; basic math and data entry
• Pass a background check and drug screen

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpful
