Warehouse Associate (Seasonal)

About the role

The DC Outfitter must have physical stamina and strength to perform various duties in the Distribution Center. Responsibilities may include loading/unloading trailers, scanning barcodes, filling customer orders, packing merchandise, sorting products, processing returns, and repairing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Loads or unloads trailers by hand, including handling items like grills, tree stands, safes, kayaks, etc.
• Uses scanners to read bar codes on labels and product.
• Fills customer orders by inspecting merchandise and matching to order.
• Stocks merchandise to ensure availability of items.
• Packs customer orders for shipment.
• Selects and verifies product for fulfillment and routes to the next area or packs for shipping.
• Assigns and reassigns pick locations based on reports and maintains an accurate listing of all locations.
• Sorts merchandise as appropriate.
• Processes, tickets, or sorts merchandise for retail locations.
• Performs returns processing for customer orders.
• Cleans and repairs different reel models and determines if repair is under warranty.
• Maintains work area by cleaning as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities include production standards and accuracy, communication, multitasking, commitment to safety, attention to detail, and good verbal and written communication.
• Physical requirements include meeting the demands of the job, such as repetitive walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stretching, and climbing up and down a step ladder for the duration of the shift and overtime when scheduled. Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift and overtime when scheduled. Good hand-eye coordination is also required.
• Work environment is required to be indoor in a non-climate-controlled setting.
• Independent judgement is performed under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor.
