About the role

As a Warehouse Associate, you will assist in assembling book fairs by packing and unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays with books and non-book products. You will ensure all outbound materials meet quality and safety standards while maintaining productivity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble book fairs by packing/unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays according to established processes and procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing all components and sub-components accurately and with quality
• Ensure outbound cases, boxes, and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition
• Learn and use basic scanner functions, such as scanning out-of-stock books
• Handle all tools and merchandise carefully at all times
• Use proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling display cases
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by the work schedule and company standards
• Comply with drug and alcohol-free workplace policies

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull metal book cases up to 350 lbs (with wheels/handles); reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
• Strong teamwork and ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers
• Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus (certification requires being at least 18 years of age)
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

$15.50 per hour + $1.50 shift premium
