Warehouse Associate - Reusable Plastic Crate Sorter

About the Role
As a Material Handler (Returnable Plastic Container (RPC) Sorter), you’ll hand sort containers weighing about 10 ounces used to ship produce, eggs, meat, and other goods onto pallets for manufacturers. This is a vital role to maintain high efficiency and accuracy at our sites.
The work environment includes exposure to elements, heat, cold, and air particulate. You will repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts. The noise level varies by location, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection at several locations, safety shoes). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. You must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Hand stack RPCs on pallets to appropriate height, following inventory control instructions
- Examine products for quality standards
- Ensure all trash and debris is removed prior to returning to customer
- Wrap sorted pallets and secure for shipment
- Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Accurately complete all paperwork to track daily progress
- Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularly
Requirements
- High school degree or GED required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime when needed
Pay
Hourly Pay: $17.00/hr
Schedule
1st shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
