Job Information
Fills customers' mail and telephone orders from stored merchandise in accordance with specifications on sales slips or order forms. Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.
Role & Responsibility
- Performs any combination of tasks including picking, put away, packing (small pack and pallets), receiving, bulk picking, shipping (UPS and pallets), checking, and hose picking
- Reads production schedule, customer order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Moves materials from receiving to storage areas by sorting/scanning material to proper storage area
- Fills requisitions, work orders, POs, or invoices
- Assembles order from inventory and moves to packing station for shipping
- Properly packs and marks container for shipping
- Loads materials onto vehicle or prepares for transportation pick up
- Performs general clean up and equipment maintenance of assigned area and equipment/tools
- Performs inventory cycle counts
- Performs basic data entry
- Performs additional duties assigned by company management
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Ability to become forklift certified
