Warehouse Associate, Order Pickers

About the role

Full‑time regular position, first shift starting at $17.50/hour. Warehouse Associates (Order Pickers) perform core tasks such as picking books from warehouse shelves and applying products to books per library specifications. The role is onsite at EBSCO’s office in Contoocook, NH.

Responsibilities

• Pick books from warehouse shelves.
• Apply various products to books according to detailed library specifications.
• Perform assigned tasks that may include other jobs not listed.
• Work outside the department as business conditions require.
• Meet or exceed quality standards in all areas.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards in all areas.
• Use a computer and scanner to enter barcode data.
• Use a computer for other essential computer‑based programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may include work outside the department.

Requirements

• Remain and perform tasks at an assigned workstation.
• Constantly push carts full of books to and from work area and within the warehouse.
• Constantly use hands and fingers to operate a computer and apply products during book processing.
• Constantly pick books from racks low to the ground up to a height of 6 feet.
• Frequently communicate with leaders and trainers regarding instructions and processing of materials; exchange accurate information.
• Constantly move books weighing up to 5 lb to and from carts and work area.
• Frequently move books weighing up to 15 lb to and from carts and work area.
• Occasionally move books weighing up to 25 lb to and from carts and work area.
• Frequently position self to retrieve and put away supplies, including under desks and low shelves.
• Closely inspect products to ensure quality of work.
• Constantly work in a production environment with concrete floors.
• Constantly exposed to computers, monitors, and barcode scanners.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend and act upon detailed written and verbal technical instructions.
• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
• Good work attitude and strong commitment to company goals regarding productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay

Pay range: USD $31,200.00 – USD $44,395.00 per year (equivalent to a starting rate of $17.50/hour).

Schedule

Scheduled hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime available or required on a week‑to‑week basis.
