Job Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping materials and products.
- Cook out shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate inbound and outbound shipments.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, destinations, and shipment schedules using various source documents.
- Oversee dock operations, including trailer loading and unloading, dock scheduling, and freight movement.
- Ensure proper documentation of shipments, receipts, inventory transactions, and transportation records.
- Operate and assist with equipment used for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, and material movement.
- Demonstrate safe operation and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.
- Train, coach, and support warehouse associates while promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
- Aid with inventory control activities, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain experience.
- Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Dock operations experience.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management and inventory systems.
- Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents and work instructions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Logistics and supply chain operations.
- Inventory control and cycle counting.
- Freight coordination and transportation processes.
- Retail scanner and warehouse management system experience.
