About the role

The Warehouse - Inventory Lead position is a multi-faceted role at Westrock Coffee. This individual maintains the organization of the warehouse area, ensuring production teams have uninterrupted access to materials and the distribution team receives finished products. The Inventory Lead provides tactical leadership, serves as the subject matter expert, and ensures daily goals are met. This position reports to the Inventory Supervisor and receives daily supervision from the Supervisor and the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret the production schedule and calculate/submit material requests via an ERP system to ensure timely arrival of materials at the manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct cycle counts of inventory as directed by the Inventory Supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Organize and coordinate returns of leftover packaging materials after production runs.
  • Use FIFO (First In, First Out) when pulling materials by "lot" number for traceability.
  • Maintain organization of raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse.
  • Receive purchase orders in the ERP system and process associated paperwork to meet Compliance and Accounting team expectations.
  • Manage a small transportation team and instruct them on any unusual tasks; serve as the de facto supervisor of the transportation fleet and warehouse team.
  • Communicate regularly with manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain management teams regarding non-conforming product and other urgent matters.
  • Execute inventory transactions in the ERP system as needed.
  • Operate a forklift safely and proficiently.
  • Perform all duties safely and continuously monitor areas to ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards, safety, and GMP requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring daily goals are met.
  • Conduct daily team meetings with Operators and team members.
  • Pursue continuing education on equipment when opportunities arise.
  • Serve as backup to the Supervisor, communicating workload or schedule changes to floor personnel and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Take an active role in shift transitions to ensure efficient handoffs between shifts.
  • Assist with breaks and lunches to maintain peak machine performance throughout the production shift.
  • Work holidays occasionally due to production demands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of inventory control experience.
  • Forklift certified with 1+ years of experience.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written), self-starter attitude, and ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Strong attention to detail, alertness, professionalism, and honesty.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience (preferred).
  • Experience with Oracle's NetSuite ERP system.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $22.50 per hour.
