Warehouse Associate I - Sunbelt Supply

Key Responsibilities

Coordinating activities in the Shipping/Receiving Dock including unloading and loading semi-trucks, U.P.S. and FedEx trucks. Responsible for incoming and outgoing products and goods.

• Packaging and preparing LTL shipment and documentation
• Routing material to either staging or shipping areas
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to work on valve automation and assembly
• Operating a forklift (certification a plus)
• Using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and additional software to track and communicate internally, as well as with customers, carriers, and suppliers
• Maintaining the condition of the work area and following company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required
• 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility
• Knowledge of typical warehouse equipment, machines, and tools
• Forklift experience
• Material resource planning and/or production control experience with Systems Applications Processes (SAP)
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems
• Valid driver's license

Physical Demands

The role requires:

• Frequent standing and walking
• Continual sitting and utilization of hand and finger dexterity
• Occasional balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling
• Continual talking or hearing and visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard
• Occasional lifting/pushing/carrying items up to 25 pounds
• Occasional work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noise

Work Environment

This role operates in a warehouse environment with occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites (less than 10% travel).
