Warehouse Associate I

About the role

The Warehouse Associate I position at White Cap involves operating a forklift to load, unload, and move merchandise, picking, packing, and shipping products to customers, receiving, counting, and recording shipment information into the system. This role may involve working both inside the warehouse and outside in the yard. Responsibilities also include lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds, performing other duties as assigned, and generally requiring 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a forklift to load, unload, and move merchandise.
• Picks, packs, and ships products to customers.
• Receives, counts, and records shipment information into the system.
• Maintains a safe and efficient work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and material handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Generally requires 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Preferred qualifications include bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
