Warehouse Associate (GM/Seasonal)

ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. The facility receives, stores, manages inventory, and ships fresh and non-perishable product throughout the network of local brand stores, handling a mix of product types including fresh, frozen, grocery, and health and beauty care items.

About the role

As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform distribution center shipping and receiving functions, ensuring product is moved accurately and safely throughout the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Complete all related shipping and receiving documentation
• Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform pre-operational checks of equipment according to company policy
• Maintain good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
• Recommend process or procedure modifications to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction

Requirements

• Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable
• Able to use a personal computer for data entry and research
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail
• High school education
• Familiarity or experience in a distribution environment
• Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs repetitively
• Ability to meet company production standards
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
• Must be able to work the required schedule to perform assigned duties
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (e.g., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
