Warehouse Associate (Full-Time, Nights)

About the role

Cardinal Health’s Warehouse Operations team is responsible for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product through a combination of manual and automated tasks. The team ensures efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to shipment to internal and external customers, supporting the company’s mission to make healthcare safer and more productive.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders, including picking, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas, including Inbound and Outbound operations.
• Receive large boxes on the warehouse dock, scan product with an RF scanner, and input product information into the computer.
• Break down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish the warehouse.
• Utilize a voice-to-pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit-of-measure items and place them on a cart.
• Palletize large items onto skids and wrap for shipment; pack small items in boxes.
• Drive material handling equipment as required, including order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks while maintaining a clean work environment and complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of related warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
• Automated or RF (Radio Frequency) warehouse experience is beneficial.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (pallet jacks, cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts) as needed.
• Ability to work standing for long periods with frequent stooping or bending.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and self-motivated with strong English reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work in coordination with team members to meet goals in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting performance quotas and standards.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Adherence to site safety regulations, including wearing required PPE such as steel-toed safety shoes and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS and QRA policies and procedures.

Pay

$22.55 per hour (includes shift differential).

Schedule

• Sunday – Thursday (shift end times may vary based on work demands).
• Sunday: 5:00 pm – 4:00 am (or until task completion).
• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 pm – 5:30 am (or until task completion).
