Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator

About the role

Tellworks Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Associate with forklift experience to join our team. This position involves moving packages and materials efficiently and safely within our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload inbound and/or outbound freight from trailers/containers
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prefer 2-4 years of experience
• Able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding
• Consistently lift, stand, bend, and rotate motions
• Able to operate hand truck and forklift
• Able to read and write English
• Basic Mathematics Skills

Job Requirements

• Able to pass any federal/state/local government and company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests
• Must be able to move about the warehouse to access products, machinery, and assist others
• Able to move and place cartons on pallets weighing up to 60 pounds
• Able to bend downward using legs at the knee
• Able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess product
• Able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange accurate information

Skills

• Basic mathematics skills (add, divide, multiply and subtract)
• Ability to interpret instruction
• Prefers forklift skills
