Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator- 2nd Shift

About the role

This position will operate power equipment such as stock pickers, reach trucks, and turret trucks for the replenishment and case pick areas. May also operate pallet riders and manual pallet jacks. Responsibility for accurate inventory management, with use of computers or Radio Frequency “RF” guns.

Responsibilities

• Complete all pre-shift inspection checklists on all power equipment before use
• Meet daily performance and accuracy goals
• Use RF technology and appropriate inventory management practices
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment
• Work collaboratively with other employees and departments toward common goals and objectives
• Rotate throwing cases onto the conveyor
• Stand, bend and lift cases the entire shift
• Provide support during Physical Inventories of Warehouse
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience driving power equipment (stock pickers, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet riders, manual pallet jacks)
• Work experience in a distribution center
• Analytical and counting skills
• Reading, writing, mathematical and English language skills usually attained through a High School or equivalent education
• Computer knowledge and experience operating RF scanners
• Willingness to move about and work in alternate departments to support the business
• Flexibility to work required overtime
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds, regularly throughout the day
• Ability to wear a body harness and other fall protection PPE and meet the required weight classifications for fall protection (regular weigh-ins are mandatory for safety purposes)

Pay

The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, additional forms of compensation may be offered as part of a total compensation package, including a full range of benefits.
