Warehouse Associate/Driver

About the role

Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, is looking for a motivated Warehouse Associate/Back Up Driver to join the team. You will ensure products get where they need to be by receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting and assistance with general maintenance of the warehouse.

Shift & Pay

• Shift: 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday–Friday
• Starting Rate: $18–$20 per hour

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship orders using an RF scanner (orders range from a small box to pallets)
• Receive and store inventory in a safe and correct manner
• Perform cycle counts regularly
• Record damaged or defective materials
• Drive company truck(s) with great care, assuring compliance with all prevailing traffic laws and legal speed limits, and safety protocol
• Provide associates with possible solutions and/or appropriate contact information when problems arise; report observations of customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager
• Load and unload materials from truck in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner, utilizing proper body mechanics and proper equipment (e.g., forklift)
• Receive and check-in deliveries, pickups and returns to ensure quality and quantity of products
• Cut wire, rod, or strut, safely utilizing the appropriate equipment
• Sweep floors, remove trash, and otherwise maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Willing to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as push carts and rolling ladders
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
• Ability to unload material at customer site, including heavy and bulky items
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation
• Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills
