Warehouse Associate- Days

About the Role

The Warehouse Associate checks trucks in and out using WMS and ensures the quality and efficiency of trailer loading/unloading, including the pallet handling process. This role involves operating a forklift or working with the LGV (Laser Guided Vehicle) and handling system. Responsibilities include monitoring LGV activity, maintaining inventory accuracy, prepping loads for shipments, and upholding a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives all inbound orders into WMS: spring water, resin, corrugated materials, film, labels, UPS deliveries, Federal Express deliveries, and water transfer as needed
• Rebuilds damaged pallets prior to restock
• Processes RMAs
• Consolidates finished goods storage for maximum storage capabilities
• Identifies, reports, and observes quality issues with finished goods and RMS
• Validates new SKUs in WMS to ensure proper LGV storage and handling
• Corrects LGV alarms
• Monitors and unloads finished goods and raw material deliveries utilizing a forklift
• Maintains pallet storage area; offloads pallets from trailers and stages for LGVs
• Corrects product spills
• Manually pulls pallets from production as needed
• Supplies production with non-inventory items (glue, bags, labels, etc.)
• Performs air bag loads
• Clears blocked locations in WMS
• Operates a forklift when required
• Facilitates information flow between logistics, production, and sales to ensure timely and accurate customer service
• Tests and monitors resin and spring water
• Coordinates preload activities, including inspecting trailers to ensure timely load completion
• Checks in trucks and communicates loading instructions to forklift drivers
• Provides correct loading documents/bills of lading and truck seals upon departure
• Maintains records and reports for daily shipping and inventory control
• Participates in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse
• Ensures regular and predictable attendance
• Answers/makes phone calls using proper phone etiquette
• Coordinates with transportation and production/scheduling to ensure timely shipments
