Warehouse Associate Days

About the role

This position is an hourly role at Grainger, a leading broad line distributor. Compensation starts at $19.30/hour with potential for three raises in 12 months to reach $20.50/hour. Flexible shifts are available, including a 4x10 schedule with one day off per week, starting times of 7:30am, 8:00am, or 8:30am with estimated finish times of 6:00pm, 6:30pm, or 7:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Safely complete inbound and/or outbound warehouse tasks, such as unloading, sorting, labeling, replenishing, auditing, and packing, with strong attention to detail
• Ensure products are packed and shipped correctly to meet customer expectations for quality and delivery speed
• Meet safety, quality, productivity, behavior, attendance, and overtime requirements as needed
• Operate computerized scanning equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements
• Perform other tasks as directed by the leadership team

Requirements

• Comfortable working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working around moving equipment and elevated stations
• A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age
• The physical requirements include frequently lifting, pushing, and sliding packages that typically weigh up to 50lbs, and may have to occasionally lift up to 75lbs
• Able to receive feedback and work well in a team environment
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• **For Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) operators: operate warehouse vehicles, material handling equipment and powered industrial equipment, including Crown, Pacer, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Barrett and Turret Truck
