About the role

The Warehouse Associate - Part-Time, Seasonal position at Scholastic is responsible for assisting in the production and processing of book fairs, as well as performing various inventory and assembly tasks. This role operates from 4PM to 8PM on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Pack and unpack metal cases, boxes, and displays with book and non-book products according to corporate procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure all outbound items are clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Assist in the processing of returned book fairs, unpacking and sorting products.
• Pick and pack customer reorders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform seasonal inventory production-line resets and participate in physical inventory counts.
• Participate in Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events, handling merchandise carefully.
• Utilize proper lifting, packing, and handling techniques to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Accurately complete labor data collection cards and operate motorized pallet jacks if trained.
• Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
• Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment).
• Strong team player and good communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
• Ability to stand, reach, squat, bend, kneel, and push wheeled cases with appropriate force.
• Non-disqualifying physical and mental disability.

Qualifications
