Warehouse Associate Back-up Driver

Join World Electric, a leading electrical distributor with over 45,000 associates globally, and be part of a team making a real difference for customers. We're looking for a Warehouse Associate/Back-up Driver to support our warehouse operations and drive deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Support daily warehouse operations by reading schedules, orders, and packing slips to move, gather, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products.
• Drive equipment to transport items within the warehouse and compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins, weighing or counting items to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Fulfill customer orders, assemble them, and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey them to the packing station or shipping department.
• Pack items, verify product accuracy, document discrepancies, and have incorrect products re-picked.
• Communicate with sales associates or managers to meet customer needs, act in a helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and associates, and ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
• Construct pallets based on delivery areas to prevent stock damage during delivery, participate in safety processes, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Knowledge of warehouse technology, including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.
• Previous forklift/cherry picker experience.
• Basic safety knowledge (lifting techniques, etc.).

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.
• Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy.
• Mobility in body movements.
• Occasionally lift items greater than 75 lbs with assistance.
