About the role

Viking Electric is seeking a Warehouse Associate Backup Driver for our 2nd shift in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves delivering essential electrical products from our warehouse to our valued customers. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license, be at least 21 years old, and be able to lift up to 85 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
  • Transport and deliver products to customers with care
  • Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers
  • Fill orders and issue materials and supplies per requests
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks or dollies
  • Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 21 years old
  • Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
  • Ability to lift packages weighing up to 85 pounds
  • Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
  • Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (training provided)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training
