Warehouse Associate

Work schedule

7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Checks purchase orders/work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Checks items to ensure that the correct number of products is being assembled.
• Affords assistance in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Loads the finished product onto the truck.
• Unloads products from trucks, containers, and stocks them in the designated area.
• Responsible for quality control. Ensures that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.
• Operates the pallet jack within standard operating procedures.
• Performs preventive maintenance on palette jacks.
• On-the-job training for new employees.
• Handles inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Prepares customers' orders for delivery.
• Provides fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.
• The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order.
• Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.

Schedule

Typical workweek is Monday through Friday (standard 40 hours per week); however, evening, night shift, overtime, and weekend hours are common in some branch offices.
