A Brief Summary Of This Position
This is an Individual Contributor position with the Site Pro 1 in the Telecom division. Working under the direction of the Facility Manager, and within the guidelines of established procedures, the Picker/Packer is responsible to accurately pick all communication tower components per the packing slip. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for general house keeping of their area.
Essential Functions
- Operate the following pieces of production equipment: forklifts
- Accurately pick, and pack items based on customer orders
- Inventory control activities including cycle counts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, although most frequent lift is 20 pounds
- Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as work in non-temperature controlled environment
- Ability to stand/walk up to 100% of shift
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate
- A high school diploma/GED and 6+ months of relevant education/work experience
- The ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, accurately
- The ability to work over overtine, as business needs require
- Experience operating a personal computer
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
- 1+ year of previous experience working in a warehouse facility
- The ability to solve complex problems with high attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment subject to specific deadlines
- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner and be an integral part of a team environment
Skill
- Math: The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage as well as draw and interpret bar graphs
- Language: Ability to read and comprehend non-complex instructions and short correspondence. Ability to correctly write non-complex correspondence
- Computer skills: Ability to use a computer to send e-mails, access orders, perform inventory control tasks, enroll in benefit programs, record data, perform time keeping functions and request time off
Educational Background

- Physical Effort: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Some items will weigh more than 50 lbs., in such an instance team lifting or a forklift should be used. An individual employee should never lift more than 50 lbs without some type of assistance. Must be able to withstand this physical effort for the duration of designated shift.
