Responsibilities
- Unload and load trailers, verify proper stacking, and tape/stretch-wrap pallets as required.
- Prior to product storage, count and compare shipments against the driver's manifest to check for damage, infestation, and production code dates.
- Report shortages, damages, and misplacements to your supervisor.
- Maintain neatness and orderliness of the facility, equipment, and materials.
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, slip-sheets, and other power equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in inventory management, including scanning and lot number verification.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform daily inspections and report any equipment malfunctions to your supervisor.
- Handle product lifting up to 70 lbs with assistance, and up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, and follow safety protocols.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous high-reach forklift and/or warehouse training.
- Bend, lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, use hands, speak and hear, operate scanners, tablets, radios, and other warehouse machinery.
- Ability to lift overhead, drive a registered motor vehicle, and work in temperatures ranging from +34 to -10 degrees F.
- Good arithmetic and reading skills, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with others in a fast-paced environment.
