Warehouse Associate
About the role
Total Safety is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join their safety-conscious team. This role involves processing customer orders, receiving and stocking items, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and expedites shipments
- Determines method and mode of shipment based on customer requirements
- Compares identifying information on outgoing shipments to verify product and count match outbound shipment documentation
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and equipment
- Follow labeling requirements for each customer
- Operate material handling equipment to safety and production requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- Operation of Forklift and Cherry Picker
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Quality control for all outbound orders for accuracy
- Pass background and drug/alcohol test
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Clean and active driving record
- Time management to complete all regularly scheduled tasks on a timely basis
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Essential Skills and Experience
- Organized and time management skills
- With minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems
- Ability to interpret packing slip
- Familiarity with proper packaging methods and ability to interpret visual aids
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Warehouse experience
- UPS Worldship knowledge/FedEX Manager knowledge
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and walk for long periods of time; sit; bend; climb; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear
- The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Operate motorized machinery
- Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
