Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for moving, stocking, receiving, and packing outbound warehouse merchandise.
- Aids in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
- Operates warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks.
- Follows warehouse safety regulations.
- Completes daily warehouse tasks including shipping, receiving, packaging, pulling, inventory, and warehouse organizational tasks.
- Unloads shipments from suppliers, verifying order accuracy.
- Able to troubleshoot and be flexible to jump between tasks based on order demands.
- Prepares the product for manufacturing and distribution.
- Inspects product for defects and verifies correct counts.
- Aid in deliveries and drive company vehicles when needed to support operations.
- Responsible for in-process checks and inventory adjustments.
- Loads and receives merchandise, building orders and merchandise organization.
- Interprets production schedule and ensures proper materials are in inventory and ready for use.
- Maintains appropriate packaging inventory for products.
- Works independently and as part of a team, following instructions and completing tasks assigned by Supervisor/Lead Operator.
- Occasionally uses Warehouse management or ERP systems.
- Aids other employees in accomplishing company goals.
- Completes company-required training programs.
- Maintains all quality standards in performing assigned tasks.
- Participates in Environmental, Health, Safety and OSHA initiatives as set forth by the company.
- Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by manager.
Skills & Abilities
- Punctual, stable, reliable, able to follow instructions, and detail-oriented.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses a working knowledge of subject matter.
- Efficient and a team player.
- Able to work in a high pace environment.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2-3+ years of warehousing experience.
- Must be able to drive forklift and organize materials.
- Typically requires a high school diploma and 0 to 2 years of experience.
- Licensed stand up and sit-down forklift experience is a plus.
Requirements
- Over 21 years of age.
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.
- Able to complete repeated twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting activities throughout shift and for prolonged periods of time.
