Warehouse Associate
About the Role
As a Warehouse Associate, you'll be part of our Engineered Fastening - Nelson Stud Welding Team working as a full-time onsite employee located in Houston, TX. You'll be responsible for efficiently receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring safe warehouse operations, and providing dependable service to customers.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and products
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders, warehouse transfers, and demonstration orders for shipment
- Process shipments using UPS, LTL carriers, courier services, and other designated shipping methods
- Prepare and print Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other required shipping documentation
- Accurately complete receiving documents, packing slips, shipping paperwork, and related records
- Safely load and unload trailers, vans, flatbeds, and pickup trucks with a forklift
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse and work area
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and responsibly
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, coworkers, vendors, and carriers
Requirements
- Availability to work onsite, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
- 3 years minimum with automatic sit-down forklift experience
- Experience with high stack racking forklift pallet moves
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material-handling experience required
- Must be able to safely and effectively operate an automatic sit-down forklift and automatic shrink-wrapping machine
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including ability to write, read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is a plus

Pay
The salary range for this position is $33,400.00 - $53,700.00 annually. This is the lowest to highest full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual merit increases.
