Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
  • Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required work load.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Aid with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
  • Follow SBP safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
  • Read and understand tickets and the various codes for products.
  • Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Accurately pull daily orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
  • Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
  • Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.

Qualifications

  • Accurately pull daily orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
