Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
- Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
- Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
- Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required work load.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
- Aid with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
- Follow SBP safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
- Read and understand tickets and the various codes for products.
- Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Accurately pull daily orders.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
- Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
- Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is preferred.
- Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
Qualifications
- Accurately pull daily orders.
