Warehouse Associate

About the role

U.S. LUMBER, an SBP company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their VALUES-based organization. The role involves loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting, and handling products in the Smithfield, NC warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Off-loading and packaging lumber
• Safely operate forklift and other machinery
• Band, wrap, tape product
• Maintain work area and be organized
• Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports
• Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
• Bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
• Follow all safety procedures
• Work in a team environment
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience
• Prior lumber experience desired
• Engineered Lumber experience is preferred
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required
• Basic math and analytical skills

Pay

Hourly pay rate: $16/hour + benefits
