Warehouse Associate

About the role

SAIC is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team in Sterling, VA. This position involves handling electronic parts, inventory management, and shipping operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving:
  • Receive parts onto the loading dock and separate spares from deployment items.
  • Process returned spares, identify electronic parts/units/systems, and update the inventory system.
  • Match parts to expected returns, clean, inspect, and perform minor testing while adhering to electronic component precautions.
  • Send parts needing further testing or repair to Material In Review, then label, box, and shelve them.
  • Pull parts for distribution as directed, requiring a good working knowledge of electronic components.
• Deployment Part Receipts:
  • Verify electronic parts/components/units/systems against packing slips and update the inventory and SAIC accounting systems.
  • Put away received parts while adhering to electronic component precautions.
• Inventory Control:
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventory, shelf adjustments, restocking, and repackaging.
  • Update the inventory system for all inventory-related activities.
  • Assist asset management as needed.
• Shipping:
  • Pull and prepare requested spares, ensuring correct firmware and configuration settings for the destination.
  • Ship via FedEx, UPS, or LTL and record transactions in the inventory system.
  • For deployment, pull parts per Bill of Material (BOM), adhere to electronic component precautions, and QA items on pallets.
  • Prepare shipments for transport and record transactions in the inventory system.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A.S. or B.S. degree with 0 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust Clearance.
• Strong Windows-based computer skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good working knowledge of electronic parts/units/systems, with strict adherence to electronic component precautions.
• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Sterling, VA.
• Travel required: 10% of the time.

Pay

Target salary range: $40,001 – $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
